Why are you BALD?By Choice. I have shaved my head a few times over the years now. Most recently after seeing Nell and the amazing work with the BALD Movement. You guys inspired me to be BALD once more!
How has being BALD impacted your life? It's given me the confidence to know I am beautiful no matter what society thinks.
What's the worst thing that has happened or has been said to you as a BALD woman? The worst thing was the first time I actually went bald, my eldest sister had bullied me throughout my childhood and when I was 14, her and my other older sister cut and shaved my hair and left me with no choice but to shave it. Naturally my mother didn't understand what had happened and banned me from wearing a wig and said I must learn that my actions have consequences. In this instance being relentlessly bullied. Since then I've had hundred of comments but that experience made me a strong person and it's not bothered me since. I love being BALD and no comment will change that.
What words of encouragement would you share with someone going BALD?If you're thinking about it; Go for it. Don't hesitate. Pick up a ravir and run it down the centre of you hair. Walk into a salon and tell them proudly you want to be BALD. You are Beautiful.
