Bertha Mitchell - Understand that it's not the hair that's your DNA but what you stand for as a human being.
Tell us a bit about your decision to cut your hair or why you went bald?
By choice I was inspired by this beautiful black woman I seen on the cover of a magazine. at the time I had locks and was making a decision on what I wanted to do with my hair. I prayed and asked god to guide me to a decision I would be happy with. I didn't know what was under the locks but I was willing to find out. I embraced the beautiful black woman that was under the locks and have been bald for the last 4 year. I'm very confident in who I am and understand that hair does not define who I am. loving being bald.
Do you feel you've changed for the better since you went bald?
Of course I do.
What words of encouragement would you share with someone who isn't confident with themselves as you are?
I would encourage any woman to embrace who she is and stand firm on it. understand that it's not the hair that's your DNA but what you stand for as a human being. to me a beautiful woman is one who identifies herself with love integrity and self acceptance of her total being. NOT HAIR!!!!
