Why are you a Baldie?
I got tired of seeing my edges thinning out by wearing weaves and wigs. Don't get me wrong I love me some wigs and being able to transform to into someone else. lol I've always wanted to do a low natural cut but never had the nerve to do it. So one day I showed my friend my natural hair and told him that I was thinking about doing the "Big Cut" so that I can start off fresh again. He told me that I should do it. So that following week I had him cut my hair. The cut was a little emotional. It felt like a weight has been lifted off of me. It was weird. But ever since I bald my head. I embraced it proudly and others did too.
What challenges have you faced as a baldie?
I really don't have any challenges, unless you will consider the occasional stares every now and then as being one.
What words of encouragement would you share with someone who isn't confident with their baldness? Loving yourself first plays a major part in embracing your baldness. Just look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that God never make mistakes and that you are beautifully and wonderfully made! Once you love yourself on the inside your beauty and confidence will shine right through.
