What made you follow The Bald Movement? To be inspired by beautiful women and to inspire beautiful women.
Why are you BALD? This photo was taken last year after I participated in a St. Baldricks event to help children with cancer.
When did you realize that Hair didn't determine your beauty? I realized a long time ago society has unrealistic expectations on beauty especially when it comes to women. One of the main things was hair. Men are allowed to have long or short hair, even bald, while anything past the shoulders and shorter is frowned upon on women. There are labels that are instantly put on women with short hair and bald and produces such a negativity. Knowing some people who went through cancer or friends who had a loved one go through cancer, I finally had enough of society's standard on hair beauty. I wanted to show that beauty truly comes from the inside, not whether you have anything on your head and I wanted to inspire and encourage women and children to keep their head up high no matter the circumstances. Whether you are bald by cancer, alopecia, other diseases, or by choice.
What words of encouragement would you share with someone who isn't confident with themselves as you are? You are beautiful! You are gorgeous from the inside out! It doesn't matter if you have hair or not, whether you wear makeup or none, have little to no boobs or giant boobs, no matter how you dress, or what you do. Beauty comes from within even if you can't see it yet. Keep your head up high. Your beauty will shine through!
